Description

This coffee table is made of Itauba and Sustainably farmed Lytpus lumber. Itauba is also known as Brazillian Laurel.

Itauba has a beautiful dark honey amber color, with a chatoyance that shimmers depending on the angle of viewing and the light. Like most Brazillian hardwoods, it is extremely hard, durable and strong.

This particular piece has matching legs and leg braces which were constructed from the same single-slab as the top surface. The wood has broad figuring that flows throughout. This piece has rounded edges on all surfaces. Itauaba typically has prominent “ink spots”. This particular rare piece has only a few such spots visible. The table is finished with a medium gloss Tung Oil finish on all surfaces. The lower Lyptus shelf is removable, depending on the aesthetic of your preference.

The high durability epoxy used for the river table has a single thin layer set deeply in the ricer that features dark mica powder, to provide a depth and shimmer.

The table is 50″ long, 24″ wide and 20″ high.
